Upcycling workshop for Schools – Sew a Notebook
Are you thinking about an unusual experience for your class? Bring your pupils to our bookbinding workshop and make your own holiday books or pupil books. We will guide you through the creation process using old paper saved from disposal. In addition to working with bookbinding machines, the pupils will experience how to create sustainably.
How will the workshop take place?
- We will welcome you, introduce the Reformat project and explain what recycling is and what upcycling is.
- We will introduce you to the equipment in the bookbinding workshop, tools and machines.
- Everyone chooses the paper in their notebook, then we assemble them and connect them with staples on our gang stitcher.
- At the end, with the teacher’s assistance, everyone will cut their book on an electric cutter and decorate it according to their own ideas. Such as using stamps or a collage.
What will it give the pupils?
/ Practical experience on how to use waste materials in a meaningful way.
/ A self-made notebook that can be practically used during school lessons.
/ Getting to know a bookbinding workshop and getting acquainted with the bookbinding craft.
/ Option of trying out bookbinding machines with the assistance of the teacher (an experienced bookbinder).

What’s included in the price?
The price includes all materials, components and a teacher who will guide your class through the entire workshop. The presence of a school teacher who is responsible for the students is required throughout the workshop. A teacher accompanying students enters free of charge. The price of a workshop ranges from CZK 3,400 to CZK 4,300 per group.
Can there be a workshop with more than 15 students?
As much as we would like it, our premises is not inflatable. That is why we organize practical workshops for larger groups in stages. Write to us and we’ll come to an agreement.
